I just found out today that TWC charges $4.99 reconnection fee every time your cable service is interrupted. I've been with them over 5 years and have never been made aware of this fee nor is it anywhere on my bill. After escalating my call to the Senior Supervisor Tammy, I was told that an insert had been placed in my bill in Feb of 2011 stating that the fee was going up from $2.99 to $4.99. An insert? Feb 2011? They disclose every single fee on their notices like the late payment fee, the service fee to have a representative come to your house, the reconnection fee for the phone service, but they do not disclose this one and not a person had an answer for this. They refused to credit my account and had no answers. I will be escalating this as far as I can go and will be reporting it to the BBB. TWC has the worst customer service of any company I have ever seen and it is a shame that they have this monopoly going on in NYC! 12879c1

I got my bill in Jan to see a huge increase. I called and I have been charged for tubro internet without given me a modem to run turbo internet. They removed the 6 month of charges. But, my bill increase by 75 and now 250 a month. I will be changing to dish for 125.00 a month with more channels.

Maybe you missed the point of my compliant so I clarify for you. This fee is not written in any bill that they send you nor disclosed when you call to reconnect service. I do not mind paying for something that is clear and in black and white. But to me it seems that TWC is hiding this fee from people while they disclose all the others.

While I would agree with you about TWC and their crappy customer service, you fail to mention that the fee is for reconnecting your service after it's been disconnected for non payment. Almost all utility companies will charge a reconnect fee and you should be grateful it's only 4.99. Why should they credit you beause you're not paying your bill on time?
