*** Time Warner screwed up our cable

This company is so ***. They recently updated the system and now none of our recorded shows will record as programmed. I have shows recording seasons past even back 5 seasons ago. when we programmed it to only record "new" shows. So our dvr box is full and won't record more shows without deleting shows we don't want deleted. This is redicilous. I called last night and the representative did not know how to fix the problem. After over an hour on the phone he finally asked his supervisor and was told it is because of the recent update. But they are not fixing the problem?????????????? Very dump company, DON'T RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Upset consumer poor service

Why should we pay full price for only half or 50 % of what we are recieving. Outages for TV bad pixel, internet, phone. They come out for service 2 and a half years now they cant fix the problem. But they stil bill me full cost trying to say they are giving me a credit and dont. They cant even remember it's been 2 and a half years. They will not admit they dont know what the problem is even though they come out and cannot fix it. They also have rigged certain sections of the complaint so it gets re jected automatically if you enter information in certain boxes.

Sorry to hear this! Complaints about outages and slow internet are two of the most common problems clients are having with service providers like TWC/Spectrum.

It doesn't surprise me to hear that your complaints are sometimes automatically rejected. They make it really hard for anyone to file a complaint and much less get a refund. This is why, at SendDavid, we created a tool that helps unsatisfied customers submit a claim they'll pay attention to!

Terrible service with no results

How many of you have been having poor service such as internet,tv pixels,phone by time warner/spectrum? you never get compensated for lack of service or outage or your to upset to report it? Well i think and hope a Lawyer can come up with a class action law suit to recoop the the monies. That they are stealing from us, because that's what it is stealing. We are paying for a service they say they can provide and are supose to. However, they dont and take are money and dont refund us at all. I think it is time to push back and demand better service and or our money back. You get on the phone to talk to a tech and they eithet dont listen or you cannot understand them. Ask for a manager a it's a person that dosn't have enough information or they say unplug something? I believe that we have to demand bettre service and or our money back. The best way is a class action Law suit , numbers speak volume and attention.

Recently I have ordered a Transfer of internet from my old apartment to the new apartment. One of the Representative said that new one is activated and its ready to use. As per them, i have connected the internet and I was able to use it for 2 days. All of a sudden in one-morning internet stopped working and when I have checked they said the internet which I was using belongs to old customer and mine is still not activated and they are facing some issues or something. As per their schedule, no one is available to fix it and they said they will send the only tomorrow. Now I am without the internet for 1 day. They are not ready to put me on a priority list and check this immediately. If i were a Customer Service executive i would give special preference and override the stigmas. This is the second time iam facing realy Frustrated with Time Warner

These folks are at the apex of poor! When you go on-line to fix a problem (AND YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS), they try to solve through a chat that is an infinite loop to nowhere. Then, you call them only to find that they are inadequate in solving your problem because they truly are clueless, and sadly, many times there is no solution. If you have options, go anywhere else than to subscribe to this excrement of a company that reminds me of the sludge that Andy Dufrane crawled through to escape Shawshank prison. (Actually, the sludge would be an upgrade than dealing with these incompetents.)

Double the cost for the same service

I admit I was two days late paying my internet bill. They disconnected my service and when I called to pay the bill I was told they had to start a new service because we canceled our service. I did not cancel or request my service be canceled I was just late paying the bill by two days. So all I needed to do was pay the bill that was two days past due. Come to find out they ran my credit without my permission for a new account told me I had to pay a deposit a and a service fee and on top of that the $65 a month I was paying Time Warner for 300 Mbps before Spectrum bought them was now going to cost me $109 a month. I don't think so. I called AT&T and will be having that service connected come Friday at $80 a month for 1000 Mbps. I will be so glad to get rid of Spectrum. They just done this so that they can charge customers more money, Not happy with them at all and the whole time I had their service it never works at the speeds we are paying for any way and getting any help with their customer service desk is a joke.

Time Warner Cable - Cable Service Internet And Land Line Review

Called about our 90 year old grand mothers digital adapter in her bedroom. Was told since spectrum took over they dont support the adapter, she will have to get another box. The customer service representative told me once we opted to switch to spectrum that is when this took place. First off we didnt know there was an option to switch to spectrum or stay with TWC. I asked since we were switched without knowing would it be possible to stay with what we had. She told me no, since they changed the cables and everything. I said they didnt change any cables and I was informed it was to technical for me. I work in construction doing all types of electric and hvac work but I guess I found out I know nothing about it. I feel this switch is nothing but a nightmare and between grandmas house and ours we have had nothing but issue after issue. I guess we will have to find another option...we have been loyal TWC customers for over 25 years.

We had work done on the TWC wiring in our house- at their initiation and at no cost to us. On the next monthly bill we were charged $59.99 for an upgrade which we did not receive and an additional outlet which was not installed. When I called on Jan. 31, 2017 about it, I was told it was an error and would be taken on the bill and not charged to the credit card that we have on file. But the credit card was charged the $59.99. I called immediately on Feb. 7th and asked for a credit to the credit card. I did not want to pay an extra $59.99 and wait until the next month for the credit. We are on a fixed income and could not afford the extra expense and did not want to pay interest charges if we did not pay in full. This was a foreign concept to the representative. After 30 minutes, I was told I would receive a credit in 3 to 5 business days. Those days passed and on Feb. 17th I called as the credit had not appeared on the card. I was told the same thing. I explained that we could not afford the $59.99 payment and wanted a credit- just like returning an item to a store only we never had even purchased this item. Another 30+ minutes only to be told this rep could only refund up to $40 and he had to escalate it. Eventually he said that he had issues the payment reversal and in 3 to 5 business days it would appear on the credit card. On Feb. 25th I called again and explained the situation with my reference numbers, etc and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. I went over the entire scenario again and asked repeatedly to speak to someone higher up the chain of command. No dice. I said my husband was 81 years old and we were on a fixed income and could pay the $59.99 erroneous charge or buy medicine this month. We did not want to pay an interest charge on the card if we did not pay in full. I wanted a credit- not a foreign concept. I was told it was credited on my March bill. I said that was not what I had been told on 2 prior occasions and that it did not solve the problem. He then said they would have to refund the entire amount of the bill--this made no sense as I just wanted the incorrect amount refunded. Eventually he said he had escalated it and we would get a credit in 3 to 5 business days. I chuckled. A few moments later we were cut off. I didn't call back. So they have charged an incorrect amount for no apparent reason. No telling how many other customers don't even notice and they get away with it. They could charge me $1000 extra and not give a credit. Totally unacceptable.

You should never allow TWC or anyone to automatically charge your credit card---or worse, a debit card---for the reason you are complaining. When a company has your card info, they can and do charge erroneously quite often.

You, then have to try and fix the problem. In the case of TWC, change to having them send you a monthly statement in the mail and then pay it by check. Also, at this point, you need to contact your card company and dispute the charge. This will cost TWC a "dispute fee" of something like $25 but that's their problem, not yours.

Disputing the charge will allow you to NOT pay the erroneous charge until the matter is resolved. This is what the dispute process is for. TWC is not known for good customer service and who knows whether they will actually issue a refund.

Do the dispute now. Card companies are open 7 days a week and if you monitor your credit card online, you can probably dispute it online also.

Months ago, after spending a long time on the phone and getting transferred several times with Time Warner Cable to ask them to stop sending me sales mailings, I get an average of Two or three a month still. I was assured our name was removed from their data base but I have a stack of at least 15 mailings from them since being told I was removed from their data base. I find them rude and would never subscribe because of this experience. I do not know what else to do to get them to stop sending me their junk mail. It is a long walk to my mailbox and I get their junk mail.

Not willing to offer discounts to existing customers. If you try to downgrade part of package they state that it is intertwined and your bill will increase instead. They don't seem to be concerned about the drove of customers that are choosing to disconnect and go with alternatives. Time to say goodbye, Time Warner Cables days are numbered with such awful business practices

I had just moved and understood that I needed to have it transferred. I am in the military so money usually is pretty tight for me especially after having to move. Normally my bill is $114.39; however, with the transfer fee being $9.99, it upped my bill to about $125. That was all okay. However, when I looked at my bill it was stated to be at $150.96. Way over what was initially discussed by the woman over the phone from TWC. When I contacted them about my suspicions of being overcharged, they said that I needed to 'owe' them for the services I had used. I told him that I had paid $114.39 every single month and have never been late on a payment so I'm unsure as to why I was being punished for simply moving to an apartment down the hall. He started getting snappy, had an attitude and stating things like "I don't understand why you're not grasping such an easy concept." I then told him I don't have the money to pay extra money for something I didn't use and if it becomes a routinely thing I am going to have to cancel my account with them. All he then said was "fine." I then proceeded to ask for his manager and he refused to forward my call to his manager. I then told him that I would only pay for the services I used - the $114 and the $9.99 transfer fee and that is it. I will not pay nor donate an extra 20+ dollars for services I didn't use.

took over two months to get the cable ran back to house, then when this was completed they never left a note saying it was done so we could schedule install once we found out it was completed scheduled appointment for installation to house include five boxes, internet and phone, no one ever showed up on scheduled day, called got little response and had to reschedule, already had to have someone there to let them in, now have to do it a second day, if you have any other option besides time warner (spectrum) I would pursue that option. anything would be better

Time Warner / Spectrum is the worst. Their service intermittent, but the worst part is their customer service departments. When moving I found that they did not have stores anywhere near me to return the modem, so they told me to just drop it at a FedEx store, who had no clue what I was talking about. Then when I called them back they didn't have an address where I could mail the modem and said just send it to the address on the statement, to which I responded that is probably just a billing address. Their answer was they didn't have another address. How can their customer service department not have an address. So that is where I went ahead and mailed the device on a Friday, by Monday they had the modem back, however that Thursday I was called by their collection agency for the cost of a device that they had. To make this even more ridiculous, they had never billed me and every time I asked about a bill they told me that I would get one mailed after the device was returned. Couldn't log on to the account anymore because as soon as you cancel service they kill your online account. All of this for a device that they will throw away. I don't know if they make this so difficult so people will just give up and give them the extra $85 or what, but I am appalled at this practice. DO NOT sign up with this company!
