I have time warner cable and i have called them repeatedly and told them internet is slow or not working. They first said you need a new modem, so i buy the one they said to buy. Install it and get it activated by them, still slow and not working. I call again and they said you have a bad modem, I said no because it is brand new, they said it is not the right one, I said it is what you told me to buy. 88 yo Dad does not have a wirking modem to recieve inbound calls. Twc cancelled the appt to fix the problem because...they could not call to reach hm to confirm appt time due to no wirking phone line. Just pathetic. Was told by 2 leads a tech will be avail to fix the problem. Cable and phone went out the same day it was installed 9/15/16 and still not repaired. Will see what story they come up with tomorrow. I have had problems with twc since day one. It's been three weeks since they took my money and still no cable.. Every time i talk to them they tell me another lie.. I have had four techs. come to my home and still nothing. They tell me one thing and when i wait for the day they say no one shows up. I call them and they lie again.... At our home we only have the Time Warner Internet. Noticed our bill slowly increasing over time from $60.00 to $80.00 this past bill cycle. I called customer service to inquire only to be told that "your bill amount has increased because you asked for an upgrade." I replied..."No...no changes have been made. AVOID TWC IF YOU WANT TO USE YOUR OWN MODEM. THE ONLY WAY TO UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE IS TO CONTACT THE ISP, AS THERE IS NO FLASH FILE AVAILABLE FROM NETGEAR. BOTH NETGEAR AND TIME WARNER CABLE WEBSITES SAY THIS MODEM IS FULLY SUPPORTED. AFTER TWO HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH TWC, THEY CLAIM THEY ARE UNABLE TO MAINTAIN THE SOFTWARE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT OWN THIS MODEM. Seriously over billed for the last 9 months.... Promised me 89.99 bundle, and my bill is $200.00 every month.... Called today to cancel service, was told I cannot because I have an outstanding bill (because they nearly double billed me again), and they found the error WAY back in December. Time Warner Cable - Can't fix it, and don't want to disconnect it.

My internet went out. They sent someone to fix it. He ran a big black cable wire from my ceiling, down my wall to an outlet. After he left, not only did the internet not work, but the cable and phone were also out. I called TW back and they said they couldn't send anyone out for a week. Internet down more than it is up, and would get another ISP in a nanosecond if we had a choice.

I was helping a 95 year old friend with her cable tv. we called time warner to schedule a technician to come out. I spoke to a rep that told me we can schedule a technician only if we try to trouble shoot first. I was sure glad I stuck around to help my 95 year old friend.
