expensive, unreliable service. and scam billing practices (changes without warning). I called the customer service rep months earlier and they said the price would not change, well it did change. There is a major disconnect between the customer representatives and the billing practices. Spectrum CS cannot see NYC accounts and does not know how to handle them. Their website has fake prices as well that is not really offered. After calling them, they did not know what was on their website and claimed their website prices are not true even if I clicked existing customers and upgrade service with my account number to view the plans. I would not recommend this scam monopoly to anyone.

Time Warner Cable - Horrible billing and customer service

I dont know where to begin...taking money out of my account for a bill without my authorization, over a bill that wasnt due yet. And then hanging up on me 7 times when i tried to file a complaint. I ended up moving and canceling the account completely, and now they sent me to collections over a bill i didnt even owe....my credit score went down 30 points. I will never recommend them....ill go without wifi before id use them again !

Called twc on Sunday 1/29/17 regarding payment arrangements, the csr either lied or did not know how to read a screen. Told us we had no prior arrangement, so we set one up. The next day 2 payments of $231 & $236 came out of my account, causing an over draft. When I called and asked for a refund of 1 payment,( because we are on social security and disability) I was told 5-7 business days, then 3-5 days to expedite it. After 6 business days I called and asked about my refund, and was told that it was "processed" and I would receive the money on the 15th of February, this is the 9th, I complained on the 1st. So you get to keep my money for 15 days, because of YOUR mistake. Sounds like a TRUMP business plan.

Not only have I been charged with upgrades I never asked for I was told there was a free upgrade in my area last spring. Nothing is free with Time Warner Cable.

The bill I received this January is another unasked for $10.00 monthly upgrade. A bill paid by phone in July of 2016 wasn't taken out of my checking account. Recently when calling customer service they said I had called about my bill in July, since I called about the bill being a few dollars difference, therefore I paid a bill they did not take out of my checking account. Due to their mistake, I was told they would deduct the late fees.

Only one was deducted. On January's bill there is a past due amount of 23.50 all in late fees plus Decembers bill was paid early and in full and should have been a 0.00 balance, yet there is another 7.50 in late fees on January's bill. I've never had any cable or electric services disconnected, but in December my cable was disconnected due to their mistake in July with a $10.00 Equipment re-activation fee on January's bill. If they had not made a mistake in July, there would not have been late fees or re-activation fee.

After all was paid in December, I received an automated call from them at the beginning of January stating my services again would be interrupted if not paid. The amount not paid wasn't due until January 25th. As this board states I was pi**ed! When I called about this I then wanted to have my cable services disconnected.

I was told I could not have this disconnected until January of 2018. I called and talked to someone else in customer services who told me I could change my services whenever I wanted to. I had my cable cut off completely after that; only keeping my internet. With the bill increasing yearly, over 2 years ago I called to have my cable disconnected and keep only my internet.

I was told it would be the same price; therefore I was lied to, since I just currently did that. I spent hours on the phone with them on January 19, 20, and 23 making calls to their customer service department. I was told on January 19 that a supervisor would call me before the end of business day. When I called back the following day to state no one had called me back, I was hung up on 2 times.

I was told by one customer care representative that I could get the Spectrum internet at $44.99 with free modem instead of $59.99 plus modem cost. Getting reading to do that, I was told by another customer care representative that I could not. I'm being told something different from each person I talk to. I asked for another supervisor to call.

I've never had one supervisor call and do not expect to. All they can tell you is how sorry they are to hear that you've had poor customer care and that they don't want to loose your business, but do not do anything about it. Between the unasked for upgrades, late charge fees and re-activation fee because of a mistake they made, I'm at a loss of 405.00, plus too many calls made. Other than that I wouldn't have had my cable disconnected and if not resolved will have my internet also disconnected.

It's not worth it to have to call them so much with no results in getting your bills straightened out, being lied to and causing one big headache. I'm tired of fighting with this rip off company.

I've been charged for upgrades for about 3 years that I've never asked for, only went from preferred cable to standard and never upgraded my internet but have been charged for it ever since. I've paid by phone in July and it wasn't taken out of my account. I was charged late fees because of their mistakes. I've spoke to way too many customer service associates and get different answers and still my bill isn't corrected. I've been told I could change to another plan that is cheaper and then I'm told I can't. I've just recently cancelled my standard cable and going to cancel my internet services as well only because I've had very poor customer service from them. I'm tired of fighting with them over the phone. I have no problem with any other services except time warner cable.

To whom this my concern, i was so excited of getting service with twc, i was approved and paid $140 buck which by the way was my last in the bank until i got paid the following week, so i set it up for them to come out today, i get a phone call stating this morning stating they had to cancel due to an old account that needed to be resloved, i said ma'am that was handle through my legal services i hired when my id got stolen and someone put an account in my name, the lady was very nasty to me, and yelled it wasnt taken care off, so she connected me with the billing dept to get a refund in which i have to wait 3 days for it smh go figure

I wanted to watch the Olympics at work. Tried to log into my account but I forgot my password. Tried to reset it. Failed. Called Time Warner and unless I had a special 4 digit code from my bill (how could I get that if I can't log into my account?) or they could call my home phone number (I have a home phone number through Time Warner but no phone as I only use my cell). How can you call my home phone number when I don't even have a phone hooked up? Can you call the number on my account (my cell). No, only the home phone number. So, tell me how I can reset my password when I can't log into my account and I can't get a call to my home phone number. Why is it so difficult? We can mail a code to you and you will receive it in 7 to 10 business days. How does that help me especially when I've asked for that before and it was never sent?

This is the worst internet and cable company in this area. They called me to pay my previous balance so I can get my services restored. I gave them my checking acct. Info so they can get get the money. They said my services would be restored in 5min to an 1hr and if it was not restored to call back to tech support. I called and they said that their was a block at my address and they could not restore my services but their is a process thru risk management that would take a few days... Know i have cancel my acct because I no longer onpw who i am dealing with. It feels like am dealing with a person off the street... So they took money out of my account and I still don't have service. Timewarner are a bunch of thieves and the worst company ever.

Time Warner Cable - Won't Stop Sending Marketing Mail to Old Address

Made the mistake of using Time Warner in college 14 years ago. Now they refuse to stop mailing marketing materials to my parents' address. IN A STATE THAT DOESN'T HAVE TIME WARNER SERVICE! I got them to finally stop sending $0 bills a few years ago, but my parents still receive mail from them with my name on it. It references no account number, so I can't even give them that. For some reason they can't look of the mailing address to make any changes. Even worse, the CS rep was blatantly lying to me to get rid of me. Emma from the Midwest team told me that she noted the issue on my account and it should stop. I asked her what the account was, and she told me to disregard her comment.

He was a Thief the time warner stealing agent. NOW when i disconnected the service after 6 months they say we arent able to find the equipments on my account and they are charging me for all the equipments I returned and I did not have receipt for... Ive faithfully paid my time warner internet bill on time every month, until this past month. For starters, I had a fraud detection on my Amex card, so the payment was declined. When I found out, I logged onto my account to pay the bill, to find out it went from 44.99 to 59.99 per month. I called them up and found out my original price was a 12 month intro period. Well since i wasnt interested in paying 60 dollars a month for internet that periodically goes down on me, I asked if there were any other specials, or Id have to try to shop around for another ISP. She searched around and found me a promo. 39.99 a month for standard internet. Perfect, I said. I got off the phone with her and went on to pay my bill, but was still showing a past due amount of 59.99. I figured these things take a day or 2 sometimes to update in the system. 2 more days go by, and my account is still showing a past due amount, and now is showing a 30.00 "returned payment fee". 30 dollar charge for a credit card decline? When you're credit card is declined at the grocery store, does the grocery store charge you 30 dollars? I digress. Anyway, I ended up contacting someone via chat to figure out what is going on. Basically the chat specialist told me she has no record of anything on my account. Needless to say I was pissed. So I call back Time Warner, spoke to a nice gentleman who found out the woman I spoke to earler, put my rate under a different account. Lovely. You know, accidents happen, its no biggie. He said because my payment was declined, I was going to be charged 30 dollars, but because of my issues, he will credit back the 30 dollar fee, and also prorate my account 20.00 so my new months bill would be 30.01. So I paid the 30.01 over the phone. We ended the conversation, and I figured that was that. Low and behold, a few days later, there is still no changes to my account. I spoke to ANOTHER specialist on chat who told me "not to worry" the 50 dollar credit is still under pending, and should be taken care of soon. 2 days later, I log on. Still no change, and this time the 50.00 "pending" credit just magically "poof" vanished from my account. To add insult to injury, I now have a 8.75 "late fee" on my account. Needless to say, Im frustrated and pretty fed up at this point. I spoke to a chat specialist once again, who told me I pretty much have no credit. After explaining it to her, she took off the "returned payment" fee and the "late fee" but I still owe them 30.00. After explaining I had a 50 dollar credit, she basically told me Id have to call time warner AGAIN. I call them up, spoke to a lady who I had to explain about 4 times what happened. I even told her I have chat logs of the previous woman telling me I have a 50 dollar credit in pending. Well bascially after this 30 minute conversation, she said she would have to transfer me to a supervisor....Low and behold there's no supervisors available. I guess they ALL go to lunch at the same time. Im promised a call back, but you know how that goes, of course NO ONE calls me back. Surprise surprise. At this point I am so fed up with this inept company, I almost think they purposely make it a pain in the *** to get anything resolved so you just give up. Because at this point, Im about to give up and just look for another ISP.
