Time Warner Cable - Nickel and Dime Customers to Death - DITTO

I had service for a year under the 49.99 internet only. It was okay, and I needed it as I worked from home. When my bill went up to 69.99 I called to ask if there was any way they would consider lowering that as I am now retired on a (very) limited income and using my internet (very) rarely. The girl on the line answered me very rudely and even laughed. I get it but I am using very little internet per day. I'm not downloading large packets of info, or videos or music. Just basically checking my email. It didn't warrnat that kind of a response. Today looking over my last 6 months of bills I find constant 2 -3 dollar charges so that my $69.99 bill always ends up as $ 73 - $ 75. As the saying goes, must they squeeze you to get that last tiny drop of blood? There are no breaks, when the brother finally took over the business, he mercilessly got rid of any breaks for anyone. I wish they would start regulating it like they did Ma Bell back in the olde days and break it apart, there is no room for the little guys and those big internet provides know they can squeeze you as hard as they want. You are at their mercy whlie they nickel and dime you to death.

I wanted to make you aware of another issue with spectrum. My Internet has been down for 3 days. Spectrum has scheduled 3 appointments for a technician to come fix the issue. And all 3 times nobody has showed up. I have complained to the BBB. we have to get something done about spectrum.

Time Warner Cable - Paying for 100 mpbs, receiving 1 mbps

I'm not a technical person so I have to wait for my son to come home from college on break to call them. This happens all the time. What am I paying for? Sometimes my son tells me it's only giving less than 1 mbps. Also, their customer service is horrible. I called them today about a billing question, they told me they need my account number to even answer a question (no financial information or changes to service, just a simple question), so I call back with account number, they tell me I also need a pin number. Seriously? I would switch internet in a heartbeat if the only other option in my small town wasn't equally bad. As soon as my kids are both done with college, I am cancelling all internet.

same with my connection , paying 65$ per 100G it has never went above 12G , When I was paying 80$ for 200G was getting 100G periodically, but then downgraded to 100G and now getting latency in connections and lousy download speed , would love to move to different provider , but TW had monopolized my area

Time Warner Cable - SICK OF BEING DOLLAR TO DEATH.

It seems that every time I start to read a interesting article, it's blocked. I either have to go thru a lot of do this and do that, to turn my ad blocker off, or pay $1.00. Do you know that this is happening, and what do you plan on doing about it? I'm rambling on here to get the 100 word limit satisfied so I can send this. What is this, I pay $216.00 a month to you, now apparently that is not good enough. What right do these greedy company's have to not allow me to read articles which I have already paid for? This started in Late 2016. I paid $150 of and $179 bill and called customer service that I will paid the rest within two or three business days. The reply was... "We are Spectrum and NOT Time Warner! we don't deal customers like this and If you dont paid...your services will be cut off." Well, I was so upset, I cut off my service the next business day, to be treated like that after being an customer of Time Warner for over thirty years....left an bitter taste in my mouth. so after an couple on months with Verizon DSL, I tried using Spectrum again. Called customer service and asked about putting on my service and also 'How much it was cost, because I still had the modem. The Rep, after talking to her manager stated... we can restart your account and since you still had the modem... You don't owe us anything!. Well, they restarted my modem and I was back with Time Warner (Spectrum). AND HEREEEEEE WE GO! I log online to pay my first bill and I see and past due amount of $150 plus my bill. I call customer service and was told...'It's and billing issue which will be corrected, just paid your current bill' which I did! The next mouth... my internet was cut off. I called again. Customer service apologized and stated it's again an billing issues. They was charging me with an returned modem charge which I still is using the modem,... That was $79.00. they put my modem on and told me it will be corrected within 14 days. I get home again tonite with no internet, called Time Warner (Spectrum); The customer service told me I owe $279 and must paid to put my service back on. Confuse, I asked to speak with an manger. I only had the service for two month and I owe $279... and I'm paying the amount we agree upon. Talking to the manager, I explain that I cut off my service because I felt slighted because I had owe at the time $29 of 179 and I can't see owing $279 after being told various amount the last two months. The person told me....Oh no; you owe $175 from your last bill. I told him that not right because I cancel after owing $29. Could you send me the bill so I can see what you are referring too? He told me.....Go online to time warner and pull up my account!!! Needless to say...IF I HAD INTERNET, MAYBE I WOULDN'T BE ON THE PHONE CALLING YOU!!! I AM TRULY DONE WITH TIME WARNER (SPECTRUM)!!!!!!

Everything was good the first couple of months. I mean LITERALLY 3 MONTHS IN. and then my bill started changing amounts. I called the customer services center and asked why. I was told it was a late fee and I asked why because I was on automatic payments. I was told it would corrected. Never was corrected. Following month my bill was higher and I spoke with a different representative. They mentioned the same thing. Basically saying that the late fee from the previous month got tacked on to the current month. Also said there was a returned payment fee. Which I haven’t changed cards and I haven’t recieved any notification of anything. So I decided to cancel because of the level of dissatisfaction. Not to mention my WiFi kept going out and I kept having to reset my box. Then when I just wanted to cancel, I couldn’t initially because I couldn’t remember my pin. After several of tries we got it, then on top of that in order for her to take my payment so I could cancel was an additional $5. Kind associates on the phone , but terrible communication and services!!!!

I'm posting my story for small business consumers, who do not need anything more than 10MBS (email, file transfer, most basic streaming), to consider other options before going with Spectrum. I paid my Spectrum bill with my with my Business AMEX, I have confirmation numbers from Spectrum as well as confirmation texts and emails from AMEX which I was more than happy to show! I came into my office this morning and no internet, but my modem shows connection. Called office they said there's a billing issue and I owed 270.00 (176.89 past due two months). I explained they charged my AMEX, but didn't argue figuring i would sort out what went wrong later and paid with my credit card. Rep then tells me they will reconnect for 199.00 PER MONTH!!! Asked to speak with a supervisor and ended up with someone from residential who said my promotional rate was no longer valid!! After inquiring how they can charge me more than double what I was paying, and almost quadruple than their competitors, she could not give me an answer other than stating I needed to talk to someone from business and none of them where available. I told them to have them call me with an answer or come get their equipment (they installed their hotspot on my ceiling). I then called Hawaiian Telecom. Hawaiian Tel charges $39 for 11mb service. Free install from Hawaiian Tel as well as no contract! Spectrum charged me 99.00 to install my service and 89.00 a month for 60MBS. Yes, because of old copper wiring, the speed is slower than Spectrum, but, I'm using it for just business for myself and a few employees, not gaming. UPDATE: Apparently there is only one business manager on the island who can call me back, and I was told by Bert, since I was disco'd (how professional), I can only be charged the standard rate of 199.00. Also, I can be upgraded to 100MBS from 60MBS for the same rate. I told Bert to come and pick up their equipment. SAD... If you just need basic DSL internet go with Hawaiian Tel to show Spectrum they are not the only game in town! I think I'll invest the $700.00 a year I'm saving on my own business, and not line the greedy pockets of Spectrum! One more thing, I'm not perfect, I've paid my home cable bill late when business was slow, and didn't complain if I was hit with a $9 or $19 late fee (I can't remember). But double?

They are terrible!!! They are constantly adding new charges and increases on my monthly bill. When i recently moved i called 2xs prior to moving when i was finally in the new house it took days before the services got started bc someone messed up something in the computer so then i had to have an appt. For someone to come out and fix things. They told me there would be no transfer fees but when i recieved the bill today there is multiple charges. I have been a customer for almost 5yrs and im fed up!!!! They DO NOT care about their customers

I've had Time Warner for years but my bill was $160 for cable and internet. I went to the local store and they reduce my bill by $60! Then after a year it went back up to $130. All the up and down with pricing and no changes in services. I'm tired of the price game. Canceling services.

Customer for nearly 30 years. They shut me off as I asked for a FIVE DAY extension which was denied. They are now holding my phone number (which I brought with me to them) captive. They have denied portage unless I pay past due, reconnect and current bill (for service I do not have?). For the entire almost 30 years, their service was unreliable, weak and many outages. I would not use them, time Warner, spectrum or any other name they call themselves even if service was free. I hope they die a slow, painful death.

I admit I was two days late paying my internet bill. They disconnected my service and when I called to pay the bill I was told they had to start a new service because we canceled our service. I did not cancel or request my service be canceled I was just late paying the bill by two days. So all I needed to do was pay the bill that was two days past due. Come to find out they ran my credit without my permission for a new account told me I had to pay a deposit a and a service fee and on top of that the $65 a month I was paying Time Warner for 300 Mbps before Spectrum bought them was now going to cost me $109 a month. I don't think so. I called AT&T and will be having that service connected come Friday at $80 a month for 1000 Mbps. I will be so glad to get rid of Spectrum. They just done this so that they can charge customers more money, Not happy with them at all and the whole time I had their service it never works at the speeds we are paying for any way and getting any help with their customer service desk is a joke.

Time Warner Cable - Unreliable service

I have high speed, expensive internet service in the middle of town that works about half the time. I have had their techs here probably 15 times to fix the problem throughout the last two years. They come in and tell me what the last guy missed or didn't do and tell me they have the solution. They work it runs, they leave and a day later it doesn't work again. For TWO years! If there was any other service I would pay twice what TCW charges just to be done with them. Customer service sends out techs and thats all........worthless Last time I called they wanted to give me a days credit. Ha Ha Ha Their a real Joke
